More Than Coaches. Mentors.
At DS Team, our instructors bring more than technique to the mats. They bring experience, purpose, and a genuine commitment to every student's journey — whether that student is a child building confidence for the first time, an adult pursuing competition, or someone simply looking for a community to belong to.
Every class, every correction, every conversation is guided by one belief: Jiu-Jitsu changes lives. Meet the people who make that happen.

Alex Serge (Wolf)
Black Belt and Instructor
My name is Alex Serge, and I have been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Sensei Douglas Reginaldo Dos Santos since 2013.
I came to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a background in different martial arts and was eager to learn more about the grappling and ground-fighting system. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made, as the journey is endless and there is always something new to learn.
Jiu-Jitsu has helped me grow not only physically and technically, but also mentally. Teaching at the academy and becoming a professor has helped me continue developing myself. It allows me not only to share knowledge with other students but also to learn from everyone on a daily basis.
In Jiu-Jitsu, you are always a student. It is a great way to learn new things and rediscover concepts you thought you already understood. Jiu-Jitsu not only develops physical skills but also teaches you how to handle the pressures of daily life and overcome challenges.
Being able to stay calm under pressure is probably the most valuable skill I have brought from the mats into my everyday life.
Marcos Azaro
Black Belt and Instructor
I started training at DS Team because I was looking for a challenge that would push me physically and mentally. Since joining, I've found much more than a martial art. I've found a community that values respect, discipline, and continuous improvement.
I started Jiu-Jitsu later in life because I wanted to stay healthy, challenge myself, and prove that growth doesn't stop with age. What I discovered was that Jiu-Jitsu has a way of exposing your weaknesses while giving you the tools to improve them.
What keeps me passionate about helping others is seeing the transformation that happens on the mats. New students often arrive nervous or unsure of themselves, and over time they become more confident, resilient and capable. Being part of that journey is incredibly rewarding.
The biggest lesson Jiu-Jitsu has taught me is that consistency beats talent. You don't have to win every round or have all the answers, you just have to keep showing up, learning from mistakes, and making small improvements every day.
I apply that lesson to every part of my life, whether it's business, family, or personal goals. Pressure is temporary, setbacks are part of the process, and with patience and persistence, you can overcome challenges that once seemed impossible.
