Being stuck in bottom side control is one of the worst situations you can find yourself in. However, in Jiu Jitsu there is always a technique for every situation. In this video Sensei Douglas Santos explains how the escape starts with proper framing, which allows you to create a little space between you and your opponent.
This space is a pre-requesite for the next step. In one movement that involves the use of your legs and your arms, you escape your opponent's control and finish with with your own attack.
